Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)

In order to reduce particulate matter emanating from on-road trucks the EPA has mandated the use of filters, the most common of which is the DPF. These mandates also apply to off road equipment.

The reduction of heat levels in the engine compartment by the use of Q-Shield™ technology results in the production of colder denser air. This results in a more complete combustion which increases heat levels in the exhaust system. The exhaust system is also shielded so that maximum heat is preserved and delivered to the filter thereby reducing regenerations.
